A company of 500 can absorb 30 SaaS subscriptions because someone's job is to manage those dashboards. A company of 10 running AI agents has no one sitting in dashboards. The agents live in APIs and event streams. That changes what software is worth paying for.
Most SaaS has an API, but webhook coverage varies wildly. If your agents can't subscribe to what's happening as it happens, they're polling on a schedule and reacting late.
The "SaaS Apocalypse" coverage has been hard to miss. I don't know which providers survive this era, but I'm willing to take one position: some will fail because they were built assuming a human would be the primary user. When your team is 5 people and 20 agents, an API and an event stream matter more than the dashboard.
What SaaS in your stack survives when your team is 5 people and 20 agents?
